On August 13. 2021 the April 16 2021 update was superseded:

The EBEWE deadlines listed below were suspended until further notice. However, tolling of these deadlines does not affect the designation of the Program Years 2019 and 2020 for Benchmarking and the Compliance year 2021 for Audits and Retro-Commissioning. That is, the time to meet the deadline has stopped. The City will provide at least a six-month notice prior to the new compliance due dates.

On April 16, 2021 the EBEWE compliance deadlines for Benchmarking and Audits and Retro-Commissioning were modified:

Benchmarking of Calendars Years 2019 and 2020 were suspended until further notice.

Audits and Retro-Commissioning deadlines were not suspended

Effective December 29, 2019 the Los Angeles Existing Building Energy and Water Efficiency ordinance (EBEWE) has been amended. The First Compliance Due Date for Audits and Retro-Commissioning has been changed from 2020 to 2021.

The schedule for Audits and Retro-Commissioning is based on the last digit of the Assessor Identification Number as follows:
